Youth Intensive Services is Hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Near Youngstown, OH

Youth Intensive Services is a behavioral health and vocational counseling organization committed to making tomorrow better for our clients and staff.

We are looking for a BCBA to join our team and work with our patients to help them identify and correct problematic behaviors in their lives.

BCBA responsibilities include meeting with families and doctors to discuss a patient’s treatment, meeting with patients to observe their behaviors, and taking detailed notes during sessions to help patients. Ultimately, you will work directly with patients experiencing problematic behaviors to help them correct those behaviors.

RESPONSIBILIITES:

  • Function in a supervisory capacity and provide oversight to all areas of programming including the training ofdirect support professionals, person centered strategies consultants (if applicable) and DSP trainers.
  • Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training in Applied Behavior Analysis, using both discretetrial training and natural environment training models of teaching.
  • Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients andtheir families
  • Provide model teaching and other direct instructional supports including, but not limited to, practicumsupervision/teaching, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional assessments andanalyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior andreduce maladaptive behaviors.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to direct support professionals, ABA implementers, and other individualsin support roles for families etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Special Education or related human services field;
  • Successful completion of internship and/or formal training in the analysis of behavior and instructionalstrategies training related to working with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and relateddisorders, their parents, and other agencies working with client
  • Applicants must be trained and provide proof of training in the use of the (ADOS®-2) Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule™, Second Edition. The ADOS-2 allows you to accurately assess and diagnose autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) across age, developmental level, and language skills. All materials needed will be supplied.
  • Ability to demonstrate competence in behavior management skill, instructional skills, oral and writtencommunication, organizational skills and interpersonal relations
  • Ability to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality, and with minimal direction
  • Certified as a BCBA for a minimum of 2 years etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $49.00 per hour
